The main objectives of RAN are:
- To train researchers to a high international level by using advanced methods and principles which can lead to significantly improved knowledge about nutrition.
- To strengthen teaching on PhD level by developing joint courses and by establishing a network to strengthen the interaction between supervisors and students within and across the institutions.
- To strengthen the international competitiveness of the research programme and to promote the international cooperation within the framework of NOVA (Nordic Forestry, Veterinary and Agricultural University) link and the European League for Life Sciences link
- To attract PhD students to the subject area including PhD students from other countries.
